Mexico City, 2025
José Miguel understands his photographic practice as an act of collecting.
The website was conceived around the idea of gathering as an inherently messy process. The homepage is split in two and shifts in ways beyond the user’s control; elements accumulate, overlap, and rest on top of one another; pages can be opened and closed. Opening the ‘Photography’ tab is like opening a drawer: you are faced with an unordered grid of moments, fragments gathered over time.
The design also seeks to reflect the range of José Miguel’s work: its variety of colors, photographic intentions, compositional approaches, and moments in time.
