Issi is a restaurant by Isabella Romo, located in the Lomas neighborhood of Mexico City. The name is a play on Isabella’s nickname and the word easy, referring to an approach to food grounded in simplicity, comfort, and a homemade sensibility.
The graphic identity seeks to convey how deeply personal the project is. Issi is Isabella’s dream project. A logo that resembles her hand-writting, handmade illustrations, and a quirky typeface come together to reflect an intimate quality. The design also alludes to recipes passed down through Isabella’s family kitchen, honoring a culinary lineage that forms an essential part of her heritage.
