Tumbalacasa is an independent editorial project led by Andrea Ancira, with the mission to “edit as a process of co-producing meaning and spreading ideas.”
‘Translucinaciones’ is its collection of translations, which approaches the act of translating as an encounter full of both possibility and failure, a space where the utopian impulse to make a text temporarily intelligible coexists with its refusal to be understood in a single, fixed way.
The design is deliberately simple, creating a sense of uniformity across the series while allowing for interventions that introduce diversity and break rigid structures. Colors of both typography and paper can vary, additional elements may be added to the cover, and each publication includes a unique insert.
The most graphic moment occurs on the back cover, where colophon data is transformed into an illustration in the form of concrete poetry, capturing and reflecting the theme of each publication.
